  1. Mitch’s Celebration

    MITCH FUNERAL

Don’t grieve for me, for now I am free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call. I turn my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day. To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that piece at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void then fill it up with remembered joy. Your friendship shared, a laugh a kiss, ah yes, these things, I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much, good friends, my family, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seems all too brief, don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.

    Psalms 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; he leads me in the path of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yay though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen

    2 Timothy 4:7 line 8:

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved his appearing.

Jesus said; “Let not your heart be trouble; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may also be. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” And Thomas said to him, “Lord we do not know where you are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, the truth, and the life. The storm may roll without me, my heart may ? laid, but God is round about me, and how can I be dismayed?

Wherever He may guide me, no wants shall turn be back. My Shepherd is beside me. And nothing I can lack. His wisdom ever waking, His sight is never dim. He knows the way He’s taking, and I will walk with Him.
